Open to Hyper Island Digital Media graduates worldwide, the students were selected based on their response to the brief: “Use Brutal Simplicity of Thought to make a complex process, service or experience simple”.

The successful quintet came up with a compelling, innovative solution to the problem that ‘Sitting is the new Smoking’ that you should take time to stand up and read about here.

The interns are having a blast living and breathing agency life from their own glass office at 99 Macquarie St, fuelled by free breakfast and lunch daily.

Half of their time is spent working on live briefs for real clients, with the other half a mix of proactive briefs and passion projects.

Ulrik Gotsche, here via Hyper Island Stockholm, is loving the freedom to pursue the blue sky stuff.

“Also, the culture and people’s open nature has really surprised me. We have even done a quite hippy workshop with some seniors. They are still smiling.”

Lujan Martinez Cima, originally from Argentina, is here via Hyper Island Manchester.

“People at M&C Saatchi seem really open to new things and I feel really welcome here,” Lujan said.

“I love sharing my knowledge from Hyper and getting great feedback from super smart people in the agency.”
